Salt River High School officially kicked off the 2009-2010 school year with a Spirited Pep Assembly 6th hour on Friday, August 14th in the High School gymnasium.
Principal McCarthy welcomed the students back and commended them for the outstanding academic progress they made the previous year. The students were divided in the bleachers by their graduating year and demonstrated enthusiasm, spirit and respect throughout the entire assembly.
As Salt River High School continues its goal of providing the Best all around educational experience in the valley, “School Spirit” and “Getting Involved” were two areas of emphasis introduced for this upcoming school year. The assembly concluded with a wonderful slide show that featured Salt River students demonstrating “Pride” for their school, their classmates, and their community on way to the ultimate goal of graduation!
