Music Choir Perform for the Arizona Capitol
Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

On Monday, November 30th, the SRES Chorus travelled to the Arizona State Capitol to take part in the annual Holiday Concert Series. This is the seventh year the SRES chorus has participated, and this year was extra special because we took part in the Governor’s tree lighting ceremony. Governor Brewer spoke and SRES chorus students helped her countdown to flip the switch lighting the Capitol’s Christmas tree. We were especially excited to be televised and shown on several news stations. Chorus students sang five different holiday songs, including “Silent Night” in the O’Odham language. We were honored to be a part of this year’s festivities and to represent the school and Salt River Community.
Parents/Guardians: If you do not see your child’s photo, we may not have a signed Photographic Release Form on file. If you would like to have us post you and your child’s image on the Education Website, please complete and submit a Photographic Release Form to your child’s teacher. These forms are available at the SRES Front Office.
