Irma Smith, Salt River High School Librarian
Irma Smith is a tribal member of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. She has been a teacher since 1976 with a BA and Master’s degree in Education and leadership. Irma has been the librarian since the High School first opened in 2004.
Julie Cottrell, Salt River High School Librarian Instructional Aide
Julie Cottrell hails from the western part of Nebraska. She obtained her B.S. degree in Social Science/P.E. from the U. of N. Her graduate M.A. degree is from U. of Colorado, Denver in Secondary Ed. & Special Ed. She served as a Denver Public Schools teacher/coach from 1969 to 1990. Currently, she is an Library Instructional Aide with the SRHS library. She has been with SRHS for five years and enjoys both the students and the staff here.
