As announced in October, Salt River Schools will soon move to a Microsoft 365 online environment. This means our staff and students will have access to new tools through their school-provided devices, including using Microsoft Teams for collaboration and virtual learning.

This is different from how students and families currently interact with Salt River Schools staff, which is why the Education Support Team at our local Microsoft Store is offering all students and families the opportunity to take part in upcoming informational training sessions.

Please note: Families should attend at least one virtual training session prior to schools launching Microsoft Teams. Several training sessions have already been offered. If you missed out, don't worry; we are working to schedule more trainings. Stay tuned!

This free, virtual training shows families how to be productive and successful while students are learning from home. Attendees explore the various ways to join meetings and keep up with classwork in Microsoft Teams for Education. The main features are showcased via live demos. Attendees leave the training with new understanding and resources to continue their journey in remote learning.

Participants of these training sessions:

  • Learn about the key features of Microsoft Teams for Education.
  • Gain confidence in using digital tools for staying connected and doing schoolwork while learning from home.
  • Understand how Microsoft Teams for Education can be an important educational resource for families.
We hope these training sessions—and the additional reference resources found below—are helpful as we make this transition to Microsoft Teams.
