All requests must be accompanied by the
Salt River Schools Records Request Form, signed by the requestor.
Upon receiving a public records request, including the attached Records Request Form filled out and signed in its entirety, Salt River Schools will confirm receipt of the public records request within five business days. H.B. 2587, 55th Legislature, Second Regular Session (2022).
RETENTION/DESTRUCTION OF SPECIAL EDUCATION RECORDS
Pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 41-1351 and the General Records Retention Schedule for School Districts and Charter Schools (#000-11-53) established by the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records, special education records are destroyed five years after a student has withdrawn, transferred, graduated, or has exited
Salt River Schools Special Education Services. A "record" refers to placement records, referrals, evaluations, testing data, and other related records.
