This is the image for the news article titled SRHS Student Achievement DataStudent achievement and success is one of our highest priorities at Salt River High School; one of the ways we measure this is through assessment testing, including AzMERITAIMS Science, and the ACT

Although not all achievement and success can be measured through standardized testing, it is a good baseline tool and helps educators to see where students are struggling within the curriculum and address those challenges appropriately.

These summative assessments are also used in the state's accountability calculations.

The PDF linked below shows SRHS student achievement data for the last few years across the three tests. This data is used to monitor student goals and progress, evaluate our teaching practices, adapt curriculum to student needs, alter objectives, modify classroom grouping arrangements, and support instructional decision making, among many other uses.

This data was presented at both the SRHS Orientation Night on August 1, and again to the Education Board on August 5.

We hope families and Community members see this data and can help our schools think critically about how to best serve our students to achieve brighter outcomes. We also hope students and families are motivated by this data and can use the 2019-2020 Assessment Calendar (click here to open the image of the Assessment Calendar, which is also included within the PDF report below) to plan for upcoming testing dates and do their best—as always—this school year.
