Salt River Schools is proud to sponsor the Summer Feeding program again during summer 2019. The Summer Feeding Program provides any child 18 years and younger access to free, nutritious meals while school is not in session.
The number of meals and snacks served grew overall at most sites in 2018. To help serve Community kids, Salt River Schools partnered with the WOLF in 2018 to add the Red Mountain Branch Boys & Girls Club as a serving location. The overall growth at the sites and the addition of the WOLF location increased participation by 33% in 2018. That equates to an additional 6,479 meals and snacks served!
Salt River Schools announces the sponsorship of the Summer Food Service Program for Children. Meals will be provided to all children, ages 18 and under, without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Children are not required to be enrolled in any program in order to receive meals.
