Calling all ghouls and goblins! Join us from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, at the SRHS north athletic parking lot!

Our Safe Schools and Security team has got a great DRIVE-THRU event planned, including a haunted bus tunnel for cars to move through, treats galore, and prizes for the best costumes and best decorated vehicles! We can't wait to see your creativity! 

Please remember that everyone over 2 years old MUST WEAR A FACE MASK and respect social distancing. Help us keep the Community safe so we can keep offering fun events like these in the future!

This event is for all ages and open to all. Our school departments and Community partners will decorate trunks and booths and hand out treats and resource information while supplies last. Vote for your choice of best decorated booth before you drive away!

Enter the SRHS north athletic parking lot from the west along Chaparral Road.

HAUNTED PARKING LOT
In addition to driving through a haunted bus tunnel where something spooky might jump out at you, our security team will also be roaming around the waiting cars dressed in Halloween costumes for some fun frights! Just let us know to back away if things look too scary - we promise we're friendly ghosts!

PRIZES
We'll choose winners for best decorated vehicles and best costumes (prizes will be announced on social media and 

  • Best DECORATED VEHICLES: Each booth will choose their favorite car to give a decorated pumpkin and a matching book. The pumpkins will be decorated to match the book. This prize will be given out at the time the vehicle visits the booth (let us know if a booth already gave you a pumpkin!). Books include: 
    • If You Take a Mouse to School, by Laura Numeroff
    • The Books of Nine Lives, Tales of Tricksters, by Pleasant DeSpain
    • The Story of Nian, a Folktale from China, by Dr. Wee Bee Geok
    • I'm Trying to Love Spiders, by Bethany Barton
    • The Biggest Pumpkin Ever, by Steven Kroll
    • Ghostbusters: The Ultimate Visual History, by Daniel Wallace
    • Harry Potter: Magical Creatures: A Move Scrapbook, by Jody Revenson
    • The Monster Who Ate My Peas, by Danny Schnitzlein
    • AND MANY MORE!!!!
  • Best COSTUMES: The top three costumes (as voted on by booth staff) will receive an amazing gift basket, including gift certificates to Texas Roadhouse and other restaurants, t-shirts, books, and more! Booth staff will ask to take a photo of your costume and get your contact info so we can notify you if you win!
