There are a couple events happening this week and later this month. As always, please refer to our main calendar page (bookmark this!) for more information about these and other events/announcements. Also, be sure to check out our monthly newsletter page. Please share our events with others!

  • Today, Monday, Feb. 6, is the Salt River Schools Education Board meeting beginning at 5:15 p.m. We will honor students and families of the month! Please join us!
  • Tuesday, Feb. 7 is the annual Kinder Roundup at SRES! You and your soon-to-be kindergartner are invited to meet our amazing staff and teachers, explore classrooms and on-site programs, and enroll your child(ren) for the 2023-24 school year! Bring the kiddos! There will be activities, school and Community resources, and MORE!

SAVE THE DATE

  • Thursday, Feb. 16: ECEC Social Gathering (for ECEC families) from 10-11:30 a.m. Flyer attached.
  • Thursday, Feb. 16: Soda With Security in the ALA Lecture Hall from 5:30-7 p.m. Open to the public; dinner served while supplies last. Flyer attached.
  • Thursday, Feb. 23: Salt River Schools Superintendent Community Forum in the ALA Lecture Hall from 5:30-7 p.m. (this is a change from what’s on the Academic Calendar – more details to come!). This event is open to the public.


ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Have you signed up for the Salt River Family Read Aloud Challenge? From now through May 3, Salt River families are challenged to read 25 books over three months—there are lots of chances to win fabulous prizes! Each family will receive a Read-Aloud Family Journal to record the books and stories they read. We need your help to encourage families to join – this is open to ALL SRPMIC families.
  • Nike N7 Sports (in partnership with the Notah Begay III Foundation, First Tee-Phoenix, and US Sports Camps) will provide sport and educational opportunities for youth ages 7-17 from SRPMIC, GRIC and Ak-Chin Indian Communities. All genders, all abilities, and experience levels will be provided the opportunity to attend camps with top national/local coaches. The next camp will take place Friday, Feb. 10; preregistration is required. More information can be found in the attached flyer.
