There are a couple events this week and next we'd LOVE to have our families come to. Please refer to our main calendar page (bookmark this!) for more information about these and other events/announcements.
THIS WEEK
- Thursday, Feb. 16: Soda With Security in the ALA Lecture Hall from 5:30-7 p.m. SRPD School Resource Officer Dan Brown will discuss personal safety and awareness, which will be a great (and important) presentation for young people and families. This event is open to the public; dinner will be served while supplies last.
NEXT WEEK
- Monday, Feb. 20, is Presidents Day and Salt River Schools is closed.
- Tuesday, Feb. 21, is the ECEC’s Talk About Tuesdays family meeting from 7:30-9:30 a.m. in the Gathering Place. The meeting will focus on self-care and feature a fun succulent gardening activity (the first 15 parents to sign up will receive project materials – call/text 480-241-1854).
- Wednesday, Feb. 22, is the SRES Sunflower Run from 8:45-10 a.m. along Highland Avenue (students run from Center Street to Country Club Drive and back). SRES families are encouraged to walk/run alongside the students or cheer on participants from the sidelines.
- Thursday, Feb. 23, is the Salt River Schools Superintendent Community Forum in the ALA Lecture Hall from 5:30-7 p.m. We’ll serve dinner and have a meet-and-greet with Dr. Herne during the first part of the event; then we’ll review site/program goals and student data.
