The countdown to Spring Break is on and there are several events happening this week we hope you’re able make time for - please share! Please refer to our main calendar page (bookmark this!) and our monthly newsletters for more information about these and other events/announcements.

THIS WEEK

  • Thursday, March 9, is Family Math Night at SRES. This event takes place from 5-6:30 p.m. in the SRES courtyard and is open to all SRPMIC families! Join us for a night of fun math games and activities. We’ll have lots of prizes and giveaways. Show off your math skills in fact fluency, place value, time, number recognition, patterns, counting, and more! Call 480-362-2400 with any questions.

SAVE THE DATES

  • March 22: Rescheduled Sunflower Fun Run at SRES from 8:45-10 a.m.
  • March 30: Vaila Night with the Education Native Language Culture team! This event is open to the whole Community. Join us in the ALA cafeteria from 5:30-7 p.m. for dancing, contests, prizes, and NACHOS! Contact Sophia McAnlis with any questions.
  • Thursday, April 6: Education Fair in the ALA gymnasium from 4-7 p.m. The theme is “Exercising Minds, Bodies, and Spirits,” and we’re really excited about the 60+ exhibitors that will be doing fun activities with our participants. Join us for a BBQ dinner, awesome prizes, special guests, and more!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • The Curriculum & Instruction team is seeking input regarding the elementary science core text adoption process. Learn more and take a survey here. Your opinion counts!
  • The Early Childhood Education Center is accepting applications for Early Head Start (prenatal-3 years), Head Start (3-5 years), and their Home Based program (prenatal-3 years). The ECEC promotes early learning, development, health, wellness, and family partnership. Applications are available at the ECEC campus or at ECEC.SaltRiverSchools.org. For more information, contact Jessica Holmes, Enrollment Technician, at 480-362-2222.
  • Encourage the students and families you work with to sign up for the Salt River Family Read Aloud Challenge? From now through May 3, Salt River families are challenged to read 25 books over three months—there are lots of chances to win fabulous prizes! Each family will receive a Read-Aloud Family Journal to record the books and stories they read. This is open to ALL SRPMIC families.
